Context and briefAfter 3 years since their debut, GamesPlanet is now a premier computer and video games shopping portal. As a new entrant within this highly competitive market, GamesPlanet needed to play above its weight and deliver value to its customers. In order to achieve such results, they needed to adopt a technology driven solution that would keep their marketing and fulfilment costs to a minimum.
ResultsFIFO designed and built the ecommerce solution that enables visitors to easily navigate through 2000 products featured on the site and allows GamesPlanet to effectively manage the content themselves. The management of the website is carried out through the use of importing and exporting data via spreadsheets, which automatically updates both text and images simultaneously. Website traffic is analysed via a CRM function, which delivers information on: conversion of hits to sales, customer history profiling leading to email shot generation and tracking of email shot activity. The website also seamlessly integrates with a third-party fulfilment company based in Jersey.
