Jersey Tourist Board: Travel Sector Case Study
Context and briefJersey is a traditional holiday destination looking to update its image via a marketing campaign promoting the cultural attractions and natural heritage of the island in its anniversary year. The subsequent marketing campaign required online collateral and strong viral element to attract current and future visitors to Jersey. Furthermore, the intended look and feel of the new creative was required to fit in with the existing website, printed collateral and general brand guidelines.
ResultsIn order to extend the reach of the marketing campaign, a mix of GIF and Flash banner advertising was produced. Competition based microsites were designed and integrated into the main Jersey.com website supported by special offer and refer-a-friend emails that were created to attract new visitors. The online viral collateral was taken care of through the design and production of a "Super Mario" style educational and fun Flash game promoting the famous 'two towers walk' on the beach of Jersey. Players were encouraged to send emails to friends to better their chances of winning in a competition.
